SAISON 2020 #2

Registrations - manual

First step of the new 2020 races registration phase ended on June 15th with the publication of the eligibility lists.

Second step starts progressively with the publication of notices of races or amendments for the different races of the calendar with a new registration date for each one.

We will email to the members and post on Facebook each time a notice of race or amendment is available.

If you no longer wish to or are no longer able to participate in the race, please advise the organizer as soon as possible.

If you wish to confirm your participation, two criteria follow:

- you were registered in April 2020 : you MUST confirm your participation before the deadline (to the organizer, if possible, copy to Classe Mini)

- you weren't registered in April 2020 : you have to register (see conditions in the Nor/amendments).

If the number of registrations on the official opening day is greater than the maximum number of participants, entry lists will be established according to the order of the eligibility lists.

PAY ATTENTION: to maintain your position on the main list as on the waiting list, your registration must be finalized on the day of the official opening of registrations

Of course, you still can enter a race, even if you are not listed in the eligibility list, but you simply will not have the priority over this race.

Registration lists will be updated once a week in the event of changes.

Qualifications

C level race event equivalent

In Spain, all the races scheduled are B level. In Atlantic, Mini en Mai is the first possible race for many. Difficult for us to impose a C level race or even the 1000 NM single handed course in this disrupted season.

Tho this end, the Board of Directors has decided to set up, exceptionally this season, a qualification course for the races mentioned above.

See amendment #1 for courses and specifications.

2020 Guide Mini - Article R-12

Don't forget to send the documents

The 2020 season will soon resume, but as everywhere, there remains uncertainty as to the restrictions that will be imposed due to the Covid-19 health crisis.

So, in order to avoid long queues at the time of confirmation of registrations, send us the documents as listed in R-12 (asap!).

In answer to the many questions we had on the subject:

- the Short Range Certificate(or equivalent) is compulsory for ALL races. For French speakers, a new exam programme is available on the French Agence Nationale des fréquences website (one examination is scheduled on July, 28th in Les Sables d'Olonne).

  • ANFR website (France)
  • Competitors not wishing/unable to take the exam in France/French, please contact your competent national authority,

- the World Sailing certificate (survival and first aid) too. For all those who needed a "refresher" and whose validity date was between September, 1st 2019 and July, 10th 2020, FFVoile granted an exceptional extension validity till January, 10th 2021 (see note here - in French).

- The race in Les Sables has become a B level race, the stress test and echocardiography are no more mandatory.

See article R-12
