deciphering the list

With the imminent opening of the entry registration for the 2019 Mini-Transat La Boulangère, you'll also discover/rediscover the pre-entries list.

A first for many of you, for the others a dig in the ribs as a reminder. So here are some explanations (you can download a model below):

- To be entered for the Mini-Transat, the skipper must have completed his/her 1500NM in races and his qualification course and he must have paid the entry fees (Columns A to E).
- The registration date that is taken into account is the date on which the last of these 3 criteria is completed (final entry, column F).
- If several competitors have completed the final registration on the same date, selection will be determined by the number of nautical miles raced during official Mini events* on the registered boat, excluding Mini-Transat miles (column G). The one with the most miles will be given priority.
- If several skippers remain level on the two previous criteria, the skipper who has raced more miles during official Mini races*, regardless the boat and including the Mini-Transat miles, will be given priority (column H).
- Finally, if two competitors are registered on the same date and have exactly the same number of nautical miles, the one who has completed his qualification course first will have the priority (column I).

* The number of miles is locked-in on the date of the final entry registration.

Regarding distribution, the 2019 Mini-Transat La Boulangère is open to 84 competitors. 3 places are reserved for those prototypes that will be measured for the first time in 2019. 3 places are reserved for foreigners DCQ (only those dossiers received on 1st November). This leaves 78 places remaining. 40% for prototypes (31 places), 31 places for production boats, the remaining 20% of which are assigned according to the order of application, regardless of boat type.

Finally, the task to accomplish in 2019 is not determined on a the first come first served basis but all the participants in the Mini-Transat will have had to have satisfied this condition before September 1st, 2019.

So we hope that from now on that this list won’t contain any unpleasant surprises for you…

S-14 - Repairs

You can declare repairs even when they are smaller !

We often hear rumours about repairs about which the Technical Committee has rarely been officially consulted; however this is a requirement under article S-14.

Alongside which, this kind of repair MUST BE anoted when signing appendix C.

You'll find a link below to the form for declaring any repairs to be made on your production boat following structural damage.

The system of Order of preference is back

There will be a small change in 2019. In order to ensure complete equity for registrations and to avoid the conflicting situations encountered in 2018, the intention forms become the order of preference forms whose importance is no longer symbolic.

You’re probably wondering what this is? Here is an explanation.
